A few notes on the Festival and Route:
-
Carondelet Park — Start & Finish
The Ramble begins and ends in historic Carondelet Park, with riders rolling out from the festival near the Boathouse. Enjoy the park’s winding roads, mature trees and lakes before heading into the streets of South City—and look forward to the same beautiful setting welcoming you back after the ride.
-
🏡 Holly Hills — Neighborhood Lights
Leaving the park, the route rolls through Holly Hills, one of South St. Louis’ classic residential neighborhoods. Tree-lined streets, historic homes and neighbors along the course make this a quintessential Moonlight Ramble section and a great introduction to riding the city after dark.
-
🌳 Francis Park — St. Louis Hills
The route continues around Francis Park and St. Louis Hills, and one of South City’s most recognizable neighborhood parks. Wide boulevards and beautiful homes make this one of the most scenic stretches of the Ramble.
-
🚲 Christy Greenway — Off the Streets
The Christy Greenway gives riders a change of pace with roughly a mile of paved, car-free trail connecting the Holly Hills area with the River des Peres Greenway. Lights along the path will guide your way. It’s a unique chance to experience how St. Louis’ neighborhood streets and greenway network connect
-
🌆 South Broadway — South City After Dark
South Broadway brings the Ramble back into the urban landscape. This stretch is newly paved and showcases a different side of South St. Louis, with riders moving through the city at night on a roadway that feels completely different when experienced from a bicycle.
-
🍺 Perennial Artisan Ales — The Pit Stop
The Long Route makes a stop at Perennial Artisan Ales, a South City favorite and a perfect mid-Ramble gathering point. Take a break, grab some refreshments, enjoy the atmosphere and regroup with friends before getting back on the bike for the return trip.
-
🌊 River des Peres Greenway — Cruise Home
The River des Peres Greenway provides one of the smoothest stretches of the route—a paved, mostly flat corridor commonly ridden by cyclists day and night. It’s a chance to settle in and enjoy the nighttime ride.
-
🚴 Carondelet Connector — The Home Stretch
The Carondelet Connector is the final link home, branching from the River des Peres Greenway and carrying riders roughly one mile back toward Carondelet Park. Once you hit the Connector, you know the lights, music and post-ride celebration at the Boathouse are just ahead.
